Eritrea couldnt be an international maritime trading state without peace, stability, and security in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Arab Sea, Gulf Sea and Northeast of the Indian Ocean.
Somalia and Yemen are failed states who became a safe haven for expansionist regional empires like Iran, Turkey, Islamic terrorists, pirates and human traffickers.
The Houthis in Yemen are armed, trained, and led by Iranian generals. Their objective is to take out America and Western influence and replace it with Iranian dominance.
Iran uses Islam as ideology and Israel/Arab conflict to cover its real agenda which is regional dominance.
Arabs were always dominated by Byzantine, Persia, and Turkish empires. If America left, Arabs will be dominated by either Iran or Turkey. In many ways already Arabs are dominated by Iran and Turkey.
The presence of the Iranian military presence in Yemen undermines our independence, sovereignty and it will isolate Eritrea from its own region that is populated by Arab and Muslim states.
The Houthis are the only strategic obstacle to industrialization and urbanization on our Red Sea coasts. We will create an alliance with Israel to stop the Iran dominations agenda and to keep American strategic interest, influence and role in the Middle East.
In the 6th century, the Persian invasion of Yemen and the collapse of the Himyar state halted our Axumite kingdoms’ access to trade with Arabia and Rome empire through the Red Sea, which resulted in long-lasting poverty and devastation in our people.
The geography says everything: Sanaa to Asmara is 351 miles, Sanaa to Massawa is 334 miles, & Sanaa to Assab is 119 miles, as opposed to the cities suffering from Iranian rockets launched from Yemen like Riyadh, which is 756 miles, Jeddah 611 miles or Abu Dhabi which is 911 miles.
We will not allow the Houthi terrorists to blackmail us and destroy our civilization.
Like Hezbollah, Hamas and other Iranian proxies, the Houthis neutralize American air, satellite, and missiles capabilities by constructing underground tunnels. Only our mechanized army can effectively stop Houthi missiles, counteract blackmail and stabilize the Red Sea.
