National Zone

Each national zone has a size of 3 km along the coast and 7 km inland. Each metropolitan city will feature three national zones, serving as residences for the national government outside the capital city, Asmara. This setup ensures a widespread governmental presence, promoting equitable development and governance across the country. Each national zone will also include a state-of-the-art cruise ship terminal, enhancing global connectivity and fostering tourism and economic growth. These terminals will attract international tourists, create jobs, and stimulate growth in hospitality etc sectors.

Regional Zone

Each regional zone spans 2 km along the coast or cliff and extends 7 km inland. Each of the 17 cities will feature one regional zone, serving as the residence for the regional government that coordinates between the sub-cities, ensuring efficient governance across the area. Each regional zone will also include a state-of-the-art Marina Bay cruise ship terminal. The coastal cities will feature 14 Marina Bays, characterized by classical architecture, serving as key cultural and recreational hubs that foster tourism and drive economic growth.
